Spring Is The Best Season to Find Love

Traditionally, most people set out to find love at the beginning of the year, right after the New Year when they set those New Year’s resolutions.  However, everything Mother Nature points to lets us know why Spring is the best season to find love.  Why is this? Birds migrate back to their settlements and begin to build their nests.  Days become warmer and longer, and animals come out of hibernation and have a breeding period.  If nature is telling us that love is in the air during the Spring season shouldn’t we pay attention?

Spring Fever

Most singles would agree that dating has become more challenging in the last 10 years, and even more so since COVID-19. However, as Spring brings forth sunnier days, and a COVID-19 vaccination is on its way, the idea of meeting someone new sounds more promising for most.  Scientist attribute Spring the best season to find love as nothing more than Spring Fever.  Research shows that the body produces less melatonin during the Spring season, thus people spend more time outdoors and have more energy to do the things they love.  During the Winter season the body produces more melatonin, so people sleep more and spend less time outdoors.  Do you feel less inclined to meet someone  new during the Winter season or during the Spring?

Spring Flowers

Another reason why spring is the best season to find love is because of Spring flowers.  After a recent study  research proved the long-term effect flowers had on people’s mood.  The participants reported feeling less depressed, anxious and agitated after receiving flowers, and demonstrated a higher sense of happiness, joy and life satisfaction.  When people are happier, they are more approachable and often friendlier to potential suitors.  Does the site of flowers enhance your mood and make you feel happy?

Healthier

Prior to 2020 most people were worried about the occasional sniffle or the Flu during winter months.  During the warmer months the worst thing people have to deal with, particularly during the Spring season, are allergies.  And, while allergies are annoying, they’re not contagious. Prior to COVID-19  people participated in outdoor activities,  purchased produce from locally grown farmers markets, and soaked up Vitamin D during the Spring.  However, I imagine this Spring things will be different.  Are you looking forward to the Spring or are you indifferent due to COVID-19?
